What is HDPE culvert pipe?
HDPE stands for high-density polyethylene. The pipe we stock is dual-wall: a corrugated outer wall that gives it crush strength under a driveway or road, bonded to a smooth inner wall that lets water move through without catching debris. It is the standard for driveway and road crossings in Colorado.
Every size we carry comes in 20-foot sections with belled, gasketed ends. One end is flared and pre-fitted with a rubber gasket, so sections push together and seal without buying separate couplers. If you need 40 feet, that is two sections and no extra hardware.
HDPE vs metal and concrete
HDPE does not corrode, and a 20-foot stick of 18″ is light enough for two people to carry and set by hand, which is why it has taken over residential and agricultural crossings.
Corrugated metal is the answer where the spec names it, where the span runs past what HDPE is made in, or where you want an arch rather than a round barrel. Bare metal in a wet, salted ditch will eventually perforate, which is what polymer coating is for, and we supply it coated. We carry both lines and quote both.
Concrete we do not sell. It still wins where you need extreme load capacity or a fire-resistant material, and we will say so rather than sell you around it.
What size culvert do I need?
For a residential driveway crossing a roadside ditch, 12″ to 18″ covers most situations. 12″ suits a small ditch that runs only after rain. 15″ and 18″ are what we sell most of, and 18″ is the common answer where a ditch carries real spring runoff.
Three things push you larger: a big drainage area uphill of you, a steep grade that moves water fast, and any history of the ditch overtopping. Undersizing is the expensive mistake, because replacing a culvert means digging up the driveway you just built over it.
Check with your county before you buy. Many Colorado counties specify a minimum diameter for driveway permits, and some require a particular material or end treatment. If you tell us your county and what the ditch does in spring, we will tell you what people in that area are buying.
How delivery works
We deliver anywhere in Colorado, Front Range to Western Slope, and confirm the delivery day when you order.
Tell us the ZIP code and we quote the pipe and the delivery together, so the number you get is the number you pay. Most orders in the Front Range and central mountains go out within a few days; large diameter and bulk orders can take longer depending on stock.
On delivery day, you need somewhere the truck can get to and room to offload. HDPE is light enough that a couple of people can roll sections off and stage them. If you would rather come to us, pickup is available in Colorado Springs — bring a trailer long enough for 20-foot sticks.

Common Questions
How much does a driveway culvert cost?
For a typical residential driveway you are looking at $300 for a 20-foot section of 12″, $400 for 15″, or $550 for 18″, before delivery. Most driveways need one or two sections. Delivery is quoted separately based on where you are, and bulk orders get discounted.
What sizes do you stock?
12″, 15″, 18″, 24″, 30″, 36″, 42″, 48″ and 60″, all HDPE dual-wall in 20-foot lengths with belled gasketed ends. We also supply corrugated metal culvert from 12″ to 96″, round or arch, made to order rather than stocked. Flared end sections are sold separately and are available in HDPE or metal.
Do you deliver to my area?
If you are in Colorado, yes. We deliver statewide, Front Range to Western Slope, and have delivered everywhere from Pueblo to Steamboat Springs. Give us your ZIP code with your quote request and delivery is priced into the number we send back.
Can I pick up instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Pickup is available in Colorado Springs and takes the delivery charge off the quote. Bring a trailer that can carry 20-foot sections. Tell us you are picking up when you request the quote and we will have it staged.
Do you offer contractor or bulk pricing?
Yes. The prices above are our standard wholesale rates and they come down on volume. If you are running multiple crossings on a job, or buying for a development, send the full list and we will price the whole thing rather than section by section.
